Hampshire runs from two busy cities out to some of the most rural country in southern England, and the care needs at either end have almost nothing in common.
Southampton and Portsmouth are dense, young in places, and under real pressure. Twenty minutes west and you are in the New Forest, where a village might have one shop, no bus after six, and a population that skews considerably older than the national average.
The coastal towns and an older population
Hampshire has a long coastline and a lot of people who retired to it. That is a good life until it is not. Someone who moved to the coast at sixty five for the sea air can find themselves at eighty five, widowed, two hundred miles from their children, in a house with stairs they can no longer manage.
We see this often, and the first conversation is rarely about personal care. It is about whether they can stay where they are at all. We try to make that answer yes for as long as it safely can be.
Southampton and Portsmouth
Both cities move quickly, and hospital discharge can move quicker than a family can organise itself. We are used to being called with short notice and a care plan somebody else wrote.
We will tell you honestly whether we can cover it. A service that says yes to everything is a service that lets somebody down on a Tuesday.
The New Forest and rural Hampshire
Out towards Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and the villages, distance is the whole problem. Journeys take longer than any map suggests, and in summer the roads fill with visitors and ponies with equal disregard for schedules.
We build that into the rota rather than hoping. A round planned for perfect conditions is a round that fails the first wet Friday in August.
Naval families and shift work
Hampshire has generations of naval and dockyard families, and with that comes a particular pattern. Someone deployed or working shifts, a partner holding everything together, and care that has to work around a rota nobody controls.
We are used to arranging around shift patterns rather than office hours.
What we provide in Hampshire
Adult care at home across the county. Care for children and young people aged seven to seventeen, including autism, disabilities and complex medical needs. Medication delivery, including complex medicines and controlled drugs. Recruitment and staffing across health and social care, hospitality, warehousing and cleaning. Healthcare grade cleaning for care homes, offices and private homes.
Talk to us
Whether you are in the middle of Portsmouth or down a forest lane, ring us and we will talk it through properly. No fee, no obligation.
Beyond this county
We cover the whole of the United Kingdom. This is one of the counties where we already have a team on the ground, so support here can usually start quickly. If you are somewhere we have not reached yet, that is not a no. Tell us what you need and we will arrange it, because a family should not go without support simply because of where they happen to live.
