Care across Buckinghamshire, shaped around you

Buckinghamshire is really two counties wearing one name. There is Milton Keynes, built new and still growing, where the roads run in a grid and the population turns over quickly. Then there are the Chiltern towns, Amersham, Chesham, Marlow, Great Missenden, where families have often been in the same village for generations and everybody knows who is struggling.

Care has to work differently in those two places, and we plan it that way.

Milton Keynes and the north

Milton Keynes brings people in from everywhere, which means a lot of families here are managing care without relatives nearby. When a parent needs support and the nearest sibling is two hundred miles away, the carer who turns up becomes the person holding it together. We keep the same small team on a round wherever we can, because continuity is the whole point when there is no family down the road.

The grid system is genuinely useful for us. Travel times between calls are predictable, so a morning visit happens when we said it would rather than whenever traffic allowed.

The Chilterns and the south of the county

Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Amersham, Chesham, Marlow and the villages between them are a different proposition. Narrow lanes, older housing, and homes that were never built with a stairlift in mind. Getting a hoist into a cottage bedroom takes planning rather than optimism.

We visit before we start. Not to sell anything, but so nobody discovers on day one that the equipment will not fit through the door.

Stoke Mandeville and complex needs

Buckinghamshire has a long association with spinal injury care, and that has shaped what families here expect. People arrive at us already knowing the vocabulary, already clear that good care is specific rather than general. We would rather work with families who ask hard questions.

Our children’s service covers ages seven to seventeen across the county, including autism, disabilities and complex medical needs. We match the carer to the child, not to the diagnosis.

What we provide in Buckinghamshire

Adult care at home, from a hand in the morning through to live in support. Care for children and young people. Medication delivery, including controlled drugs and IV infusions, working only with regulated pharmacies. Recruitment and staffing for care homes, warehousing and hospitality across the county. Healthcare grade cleaning for care settings, offices and private homes.

Talk to us

If you are in Buckinghamshire and weighing up what support might look like, ring us. There is no assessment fee, no obligation, and nobody will push you towards a decision before you are ready.

Beyond this county

We cover the whole of the United Kingdom. This is one of the counties where we already have a team on the ground, so support here can usually start quickly. If you are somewhere we have not reached yet, that is not a no. Tell us what you need and we will arrange it, because a family should not go without support simply because of where they happen to live.
