Cambridgeshire contains one of the wealthiest cities in Europe and some of the most isolated communities in England, roughly forty minutes apart. Very few counties are this uneven.
Cambridge
The city is prosperous, highly educated and full of people who will research thoroughly before they ring anybody. Expect direct questions about training, supervision and exactly who will be turning up.

The Fens
Out towards March, Wisbech, Chatteris and the villages, the picture changes completely. Long distances, limited public transport, and some of the most persistent deprivation in the country.
Rural isolation here is not an inconvenience, it is a health risk. Somebody can go days without seeing anyone. We build genuine travel time into every round rather than discovering the problem in week two, and we would rather arrange fewer, longer visits than more rushed ones.
Peterborough
Peterborough is younger and considerably more diverse than the rest of the county, with communities that have grown quickly over two decades. Language and cultural fit matter here in a way they do not in the villages, and we plan for that from the first conversation.
Ely, Huntingdon and St Neots
Market towns with settled populations, often planning support in advance rather than reacting to a crisis. That always produces better care, so ring us while you are still thinking about it.
